I really wanted to take this opportunity to tell you something about me.

I am the Principal of Ray White Residential Sydney CBD; a franchise I started in 2012.

The real estate business attracts all types; I really enjoy working in real estate because I like people interaction. I genuinely like helping people, I like problem solving. Had I not been a real estate agent I would have likely joined the Police Force in London but that’s another story.

In real estate you get to meet so many wonderful people who are kind enough to share their own valuable insights into this world so you never stop learning.

I work incredibly hard for my clients; this job is definitely not 9 am – 5 pm. It is a service industry, we work to serve our vendors, landlords and tenants.

The role often poses challenges that have to be dealt with effectively and in an efficient manner. Generally, there are two competing sides in the equation but what I consider to be one of my true strengths is being able to help navigate and arbitrate a fair and amicable outcome for all concerned and I stress fair.

I graduated with a BA hons degree in Geography from Strathclyde University in Glasgow. Geographers by nature are very analytical beasts and I use this on the sales side of the business. There’s so much data that can be extrapolated to offer insights into property values and I think we are at the forefront of this.

I have over twenty plus years’ experience working exclusively in real estate, this helps form my decisions. I have worked in numerous property cycles both in Sydney and London and I have dealt with most leasing issues.

My first break came joining Chesterton International where I spent nine happy years moving through the ranks from Sales Negotiator to the youngest ever Sales Manager managing the Sales team at Shad Thames. It is a small world as I have met several clients from Central London here in Sydney.

In 2006 I came to Australia and I have worked with a couple of employers; my first was Colliers International where I had the chance to sell premium Sydney CBD real estate as well as Project Marketing selling two of the more recent prestigious developments namely; The Hyde, 157 Liverpool Street and Stamford Residences, 171 Gloucester Street off-plan.

I have also worked in a small boutique real estate primarily focused on selling premium real estate.

With my franchise I have tried to combine the best parts of both to offer a boutique service with the backing of the largest name in real estate in Australia being Ray White.

During my time in Sydney CBD I have sold everything from small serviced hotel suites through to sub-penthouses and penthouses at The Hyde, Stamford Residences and more recently at Macquarie Residences, 185 Macquarie Street. I have also worked on behalf of Government Property NSW assisting in the sale of Millers Point. Our firm achieved one the highest ever sales within the precinct at $12.3 million.

On the leasing side I manage apartments from $400 per week up to $6,000 per week. In fact, our average rental price is $1,300 per week one of the highest throughout the entire Ray White network. These includes studio apartments through to penthouses, the portfolio includes apartments at The Hyde, The Connaught, Lumiere, Macquarie Residences, The Eliza, Stamford Residences, The Georgia, The Tower, The Berkeley, Century Tower and Quay West to name just a few.

A little more about me, I live up on the Northern Beaches with my wife and our three beautiful children plus our Dachshund, Fritz. We love the outdoor lifestyle, when we can we love spending time at the beach and in the ocean, we also love spending time in Country NSW on the land away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

I am always happy to share my insights in order to give you peace of mind in any property transaction.
