The journey so far, originating from North Yorkshire England, I attended Yarm Grammar School, graduating with an Honours Degree in Geography from Strathclyde University Glasgow in 1996.
Having recently been given the opportunity to join Ray White to head up a brand new Residential Division seemed both logical and natural. With the support of so many experienced professionals it offers a genuine platform to grow and prosper. I am genuinely excited by this role and plan to build an experienced and dedicated team that believe in a strong work ethic and who will continue to offer astute market knowledge and keep producing exemplary results for their clients.
I feel very privileged recently to be included in the company of many great Real Estate Agents in the latest publication of Real Estate Business which has listed their top 100 Real Estate Agents in Australia for 2012; I am a licenced Real Estate Agent and member of The Real Estate Institute of New South Wales.
In my early career I worked for Chesterton International as a Sales Negotiator quickly progressing through the ranks to become one of the youngest ever Sales Managers responsible for managing an office in Shad Thames, Central London. The office was within walking distance of City of London and the area comprised an abundance of warehouse conversions many of which were sympathetically re-developed and restored. During my time I was responsible for achieving record prices for waterfront apartments located on The River Thames as well as dealing with developers such as Berkeley Homes, one of the country’s most prestigious developers.
After 9 years with the company I moved to Australia and continued to further my career gaining valuable insight with Colliers International. I gained valuable experience in selling prestige property both off plan at Stamford Residences, 171 Gloucester Street developed by Stamford Land Corporation and The Hyde 157 Liverpool Street by Stockland. In general agency I negotiated sales in Sydney CBD and Pyrmont including Bennelong Apartments, Lumiere and Cove. I have also worked for a small boutique agency where I became the highest grossing Sales Executive and later becoming Sales Manager. Again specialising in the sale of premium Sydney CBD apartments I negotiated sales in The Hyde, The Connaught, Regency Hyde Park, Portico, The Bond, King Street Wharf and Darling Island to name just a few. In the last few years I have managed to negotiate two apartment sales in excess of $5 million and in the last financial year my average sales price was $1.865 million.
